So excited to see Kate’s wedding dress in London this week when we visit Buckingham Palace. Would love to have a royal sighting in London as well, but may have to settle for some cheesy Royal Wedding souvenirs instead!

Cup of Tea
I’m off to England for a short vacation and can’t wait to fill up on strong English tea, scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam! Love this poster and truly believe a nice cup of tea makes everything better.
French Friday: Paris Memories
It’s hard to believe I’ve been back from my birthday trip to Paris for two months. Needless to say, April and May have been very busy. Here are just a few of my favorites memories from my trip: The delicious and visually stunning Une Dimanche a Paris, Pierre Cluizel’s chocolaterie and some goodies I bought […]
Live the Language
Have you seen this yet? I love how it captures the everyday adventures of traveling in a foreign country and, of course, beautiful, lovely, charming Paris. At the very least, it’s inspiration to use my Rosetta Stone French more.
Paris is Always a Good Idea
I’m so excited to be heading to Paris for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday. Here are just a few of my favorite things that I’m looking forward to doing: Macarons at Laduree Picnic at the foot of the Eiffel tower Dinner at Les DÔme A long cup of café au lait at Les […]
Bites of Chocolate
Last Fall when I was in Paris, I was on the lookout for the next “IT” trend. Based on my trip, I guessed artisan chocolate shops. All around town, I spied adorable boutiques with mouth-watering window displays and lines reaching out the door. Some shops focused exclusively on chocolate, others covered all types of confections. […]
St. Thomas Favorites
It has been especially hard to adjust to being back from vacation. The frigid temperatures in the DC area and the craziness of catching up on a week of work have me wishing I were still sitting on the beach sipping a Drink of the Day. I thought I would share a few of my […]
Winter Vacation – St. Thomas
I’m off for a week in St. Thomas. My family has been making this trip for the past six years and it is truly one of the highlights of the year. Beautiful beaches, warm, sunny weather, palm trees, pina coladas and total relaxation. It’s the gift we give to each other, a week together away […]
Dream Destination: Bali
I keep a list of places I want to visit. Interestingly, as much as I travel, the list never seems to get shorter. This week, I watched Eat Pray Love. It has me thinking of one of my dream destinations – Bali. I can’t remember when I first decided that I would like to visit Bali. […]
I Love BBQ
I really, really love BBQ! I don’t mean just grilling or just ribs or just sauce, I mean, Southern-style, spice-rubbed, pork bbq with all the fixins. One of my favorite things to do in Hot Springs is sample the local bbq. BBQ places in Hot Springs are like coffee shops in the city, they’re everywhere. […]
