2)  something that gives great pleasure

3)  archaic : the power of affording pleasure

I love the feeling of delight.  There’s something unexpected and unplanned in delight.  It’s more than just being happy or enjoying someone or something.  It’s being slightly surprised and a little overwhelmed by tremendous happiness and excitement all at once.

It’s the moment when the bride and groom are walking down the aisle at the end of the ceremony with smiles so huge you just feel the happiness and love looking at them.  Or, when a child discovers something new and they do it over and over again giggling and squealing with delight each time.  Delight makes you want to relish and savor that moment.

This year, I want to delight in life’s delightful moments.  I want to bring a sense of child-like wonderment and delight to my everyday experience of the World.  I want to help my Clients create delightful moments at their events and in their relationships.  I want to be more grateful and mindful of the delight I am fortunate enough to receive.
