June 23, 2017 by Elizabeth

We have the best time designing our annual Runway to Table shoot! Pulling inspiration from the season’s hottest runway trends, we created a sophisticated, contemporary and fashion-forward wedding design that is just WOW!

These are the 2017 Runway trends we think will have a big impact on weddings and events in the years ahead: cerulean blue, magenta, velvet, exaggerated bows and modern metallic geometric patterns.

And here’s how we imagine them combining to make one stunning wedding! Be sure to check out all of the beautiful photos by Lisa Blume over on Ruffled!

We have the best time designing our annual Runway to Table shoot! Pulling from one of the season’s hottest runway trends, we created a sophisticated and romantic wedding inspired by a Dutch Masters floral still life style.

Dark, moody black provides a surprising background for highlighting the bright, lush blooms and organic details. We are so pleased to see these beautiful photos featured on Washingtonian Bride & Groom this week.

Thank you to our fabulous team of creative collaborators!

April 6, 2016 by Elizabeth

It’s the time of year for our annual summary of the hottest trends in fashion, design and food that we believe will make it BIG in events in the coming year. Today, we take a look at the influential looks straight off the fashion runways.

Here are the runway fashion trends we predict will have a significant influence on upcoming event design. We recently brought one of these trends to life with a stunning styled shoot and can’t wait to share it with you soon!

Liquid Gold: Metallics are always on trend and the designers did not disappoint with their interesting use of metallics this year. We were especially drawn to some of the more innovative designs where the gold material was structured in new ways or completely transformed the dimension of the design.

When we want to know what colors are going to be the new “IT” trends for wedding fashion and design, we look to the runways.  Some of this year’s hottest runway trends tell us, that it’s going to be a bright and colorful year for event design.  Learn how you can incorporate these trends by checking out some of the looks from our annual Runway to Table styled shoot that were just featured on Junebug Weddings.

TREND: Hello, Sunshine

Sunshine and happiness go hand in hand. That’s why we took a cue from Jenny Packham and let yellow be our inspiration for a tropical beach-inspired wedding. Palm leaves, pineapples, and plenty of bright yellow blooms are a perfect way to brighten your wedding day.

TREND: Rainbow Bright

Pops of color add a punch here and there, but, this year, the runways were full of rainbow stripes. Blending this trend with bold geometrics and a little Kate Spade preppy chic, resulted in a fun and vibrant Bridal Shower design.
