Flexing the Creative Muscles: June Events

I love it when my clients come to me with an event that lets me use creative muscles in a new or different way.  This June, I was fortunate to have two great opportunities to work with clients to create interesting and unique theme parties.

Golf Chic

A previous wedding client wanted to take advantage of so many friends and family in town for the US Open Golf Tournament at Congressional Country Club and to celebrate the purchase of their new home in Georgetown.  The result, a “US Open House Party.”

Working with a palette of white, grass green and aqua blue, we created several unique spaces throughout the house for their guests to enjoy.  Vintage golf decor and golf themed signage added a special touch.  The hit of the party was certainly the “19th Hole” an Arnold Palmer & John Daly bar.

A special thanks to the vendors who helped make it such a success: Occasions Caterers, Capital Décor & Events, AFR Furniture and Meant to Be Calligraphy.

Pirate’s Invade Great Falls

For the second year in a row I was asked to help my client plan their annual Pirate Party.  This family friendly party included several special guests, including an amazing balloon artist, incredibly talented tattoo artist and an insightful fortune teller.  The feature entertainment was Pirate Michael Beans from the British Virgin Islands.

Thanks so much to the vendors who contributed to the party’s success: Skyline Tents, Occasions Caterers, Bialeks and AFR Furniture.
